  January 25, 2009 - Recommended by staff at Bon Gourmet. Medium crimson-garnet in glass. Masonry, cherry, oak, and a hint of terpentine on the nose. This wine was incredibly slow to open up. After 4 hour decant this wine was much more palatable. Not in the typical Napa mold. Lighter bodied with tight cherry, crisp acidity, and moderate extraction. Falls apart on the finish with abruptly fading fruit to lingering acidity. Overall, not what I expected or would want from a Cali Cab, but not a bad wine. For the price I'd pass again. (C).
