  September 13, 2021 - Opened 3 hours. Color is deep red/purple. On the nose: Blackberries, red berries and cassis. On the palate: Loads of berries : black and red, baking spices and hint of vanilla at back end. Good acidity lightens it up. Flavors are broad. Touch of alcohol heat at the back. Finish is medium. I like and drink a lot of Ridge Zinfandels and this one is good. I am thinking some age will help it. I have three more bottles that I will wait on to see how it ages. It is smoothing out nicely as air gets to it.
