Community Tasting Note

September 20, 2021 - I have wrote enough notes about this wine and partially abused my cellar tracker space on this board. I am not writing to tell you about another bottle of this wine. I am writing to give you a comparison of this wine, opened alongside its younger sister, the 2015. Its clear that the 2009 is a boy and the 2015 is a girl. As to where the 2009 is dense, big, the 2015 is soft, elegant, and pretty in so many ways that in several breaths it made the beautiful 2009 seem over extracted, and over ripe. Needless to say, the 2009 is probably my favorite vintage of this wine so far, but drinking it next to the elegant and truffle scented 2015, it made me second guess my preference. Ultimately, the 2009 won, but the next day, the remaining wine in the bottle lost to the lively 2015. In conclusion, drink your 2009's now and over the next 3 to 5 years, and do the same with your 2015's! PT_

9/21/21, 8:08 AM - Just yesterday I was arguing with a wino in Palm Beach via Instagram over the use of descriptors like 'masculine' and 'feminine'. He accused me of promoting gender stereotypes while I said no, just recognizing that certain traits and embellishments are overwelmingly girlish or boyish and would be so even to non girly-girls like me and men who aren't exactly bodybuilders. You just proved my point.

9/21/21, 8:19 AM - I find it useless to argue with people with a chip on their shoulder...Especially geeky wine drinkers with a boulder over the shoulder. Most of my posts (not this one) are just light and funny, because that's the way my mind ticks. Without a sense of humor, I would be a pile of flesh. To try to please everyone is a waste of time...I give up. Thanks for the comment Neecies! I love your notes. PT_

It did not seem to have occurred to him that such judgements were completely absent any such agenda.

9/21/21, 2:11 PM - GAET, oh I know that about Purple Tooth, it's also true of myself. My comment had to do with meeting someone elsewhere who thought that doing so was gender stereotyping. And to some degree, it is, but the stereotypes exist because they're there. No insult intended to anyone who chooses a different path.

9/21/21, 2:23 PM - Most of the time, I feel misunderstood....Not today! Would it add confusion for me to state that in my opinion, the 2016 is a beast? NO need to answer that! Just enjoy these charming and delicious wines.
