  September 20, 2021 - Following the bottle the other night, which I surmised was either (1) oxidized or (2) past the bright fruit window, I opened another bottle today. There is some bricking noticeable in today's bottle, but not as tawny as the other night. Also, the fruit is fresher, albeit ripe. I'm concluding that the first bottle was somewhat oxidized, but also that this wine has reach full maturity, so any further cellaring will not be a plus. We did find the oxidized wine the other night quite delicious, but just not what we prefer in a Barbaresco. This bottle has that same silkiness, but it remains fresher.
