October 6, 2021 - This is my second unpleasant meeting with this wine in a year or so....I cant recall this wine ever feeling so tired. I wonder if this is an issue from a particular case, or the evolution of the wine itself. Tonight, it's a far cry from Pauillac and more along the lines of a St. Emilion from a modestly rated year. This is troublesome....Hmmm....

10/8/21, 11:28 AM - Are you decanting or slow-ox'ing? I feel like it needs a day/12hrs of slow-ox to come around. However, I do think (IMHO here) that '03 is a fruitier, early drinking vintage.

10/8/21, 11:50 AM - This was opened and poured, drank over 6 hours on day 1, and then drank for dinner day 2. Day 2 showed almost the same as day 1, with more fatigue. I have gone though almost 2 cases of this, and this is clearly in decline based on last 2 bottles. Maybe one of my new cases is poor. I have 2 more cases to go....2003 in general is more fruit driven and faster aging. I will try it again soon and if not pleased, I will sell my remaining bottles. Good luck!
