October 14, 2021 - Really nice wine regardless of the price , found this at Costco, was a bit shocked at how good it was, ran back and bought the remaining 2017s. Not a delicate flower if that is your thing, Has some good structure, sturdiness, a bit of smoke and good concentration. I am wondering if it will improve with a little cellar time?

10/15/21, 5:27 PM - TY for having submitted this VERY positive evaluation -- & for your extra effort to stress that it's a bottling on the sturdy, concentrated side of the spectrum as opposed to being a "delicate" P.N.! 🙂 As for it improving with cellaring, cf. a couple of the recent TNs for '16 which say THEY feel that vintage has improved! 😉 Finally, should you be interested, I’ve uploaded info for this vintage which you can peruse at your leisure. 😉

1/9/22, 5:40 PM - We've been fans of this wonderful, affordable Pinot for years and you nailed it. Our experience is that it is best at 4-5 years (count from September harvest season), but 3 isn't bad if you give it more air. Given our experience with Pinots around the world, not one for long-term aging. In other words, 5 years (in other words, September to EOY 2022 for a 2017) would be the end of the best drinking window and we'd be worrying about it thinning out beyond that.
