October 11, 2021 - From glass. Another glass this day with a menthol-seeming nose. But sweet and tart red fruit behind it. High nose, also some cocoanut. Full and fresh palate, bright and red, and rather drying. Sweetened and was a more forward pleasure with air; until then, fine but closed and a bit prissy. Score perhaps generous, reflecting how I would have reacted to this if it were a CA pinot. Red burgundy: wine I like and sometimes crave, but the more glasses of red burgundy I get to drink, the fewer bottles I foresee myself buying.
