December 5, 2021 - The wine is much improved since my last bottle, back in February. The flavors have mellowed and integrated pretty well.

Where the wine is now, it's an interesting juxtaposition. At first I get dirt and maybe barnyard in a way that's almost reminiscent of Brunello or something much darker and heavier. But underneath that there's a layer of cherry, cranberry and maybe violet -- typical Beaujolais notes. The two layers are more noticeable and separate upon first open; after a couple of hours they both recede slightly and move closer together, providing a more harmonious whole.

Overall the wine is very enjoyable now. I've only got one bottle left, and will probably drink it within the next 6 months.
