  December 7, 2021 - A darker shade of Vosne for sure with the black Pinot fruit of the vintage; violet and rose bush florality mixed with borderline cassis-type fruit with deep red currant and raspberry. There is a definitive smoke/stem quality to the fruit at first but with swirling the glass, it opens up some lovely mineral definition. The palate is constricted today but the midpalate sap is there, underneath everything. Impressive stuff. 92 today.
