    December 13, 2021 - This competent but fairly generic Napa blend is mostly Cab S. It was still fairly big and fruit forward and improved over the course af several hours. Though enjoyable there was nothing special that really stood out to reccomend it. And given that, the QPR is fairly bad in this one. 91 on opening and settled in at around 92 for this fairlly ordinary Napa Valley Red. HMC

    12/15/21, 8:21 AM - Very grateful, Jim, for this intro to BRAND and Brio. Your points and Mark's are noted. Now, while I appreciate that Cab Sav and Syrah are technically heavier than Cab Franc and Merlot, upon reflection, would you think that, if we could turn back the clock and replay the evening, in hindsight perhaps this wine might have benefited from being tasted after the Joguet and before the Hartwell and the VGS Potelle?
