  December 25, 2021 - Fresh ripe strawberry here on the nose, layered with a licorice sweetness. Fresh bright red fruit on the mouth, strawberry and framboise, silky with polished tannins. Too ripe ? No, I think there is refreshing acidity to counterbalance the sweet fruit. Racy and lively. Have not had other bottles to judge whether this is peaking, but it seems like it to me. Grand cru level quality for the expansiveness of the mid-palate, which sweeps, lingers through the burnished tannin on the finish.
