January 5, 2022 - I don’t have a lot of experience with champagne but this is about as close to perfection that I’m going to try. Just perfect line and length, seamless complexity, brilliantly balanced, long flavours, not a hair out of place. A wine that grabs your attention and makes you take note. Green apple, lemon, freshly cooked bread, white flowers, a hint of peach. Still so young - that acid so vibrant and minerally. A privilege to drink.

1/6/22, 5:12 PM - Nice note! This is the best Champagne I have ever had too.....everyone seems to think it will get even better, but it is so good now, I am not sure how long I can hold off drinking more of these!

I must admit I’ve had too many wines now where opinion has been that bottles will be better in the future, only to enjoy them more in youth. I’m more and more of the view to drink now with no regrets. What an experience. Glad you’ve got a few more bottles to see if age does improve this wine even further!

1/7/22, 3:57 PM - I too have had a bottle of this recently and thoroughly enjoyed it but most assuredly it will be better with cellaring. It gets richer and has more depth and complexity. I have had ~30-year old bottles that were magnificent and the 2008 should be the best of them all in my opinion. Cheers!
