January 23, 2022 - This is fu@king amazing right now. Dammit, I'll probably drink every bottle I have in the next year if they're all as complex, layered, and haunting as this bottle. Scents of forrest floor, autumnal leaves, spice, seasoned birch fire-wood, & clove are just the start of the whirlpool of shifting notes. The palate is lean with a flash of lushness that's hard to put to words. It's like there's a shift in the mid-palate from light to full bodied...but only for a second. Dammit these wines are brilliant...just brilliant. The most enjoyable young Pinot Noir I've had from Oregon.

1/28/22, 7:33 AM - As a side note, the cork was oddly starting to get saturated in an un-even pattern. I will not be aging any more of my Thomas wines at this point. Sadly, that also means I am done buying as well.

4/5/22, 6:12 AM - I wonder if it's storage temp, or serving temp? We store at 55 & consume the wine a bit chillier 48-55. I do always decant, and this was from a Conterno Sensory glass. I do believe glasses have a huge impact. If you love Pinot Noir...the Conterno Sensory glass is a must.

4/5/22, 7:30 AM - Agree on the importance of good glasses! We have the Zalto Burgundy and they make a big difference. Interesting idea on the temperature... we store in the 50s and serve at that point or higher, might try chilling next bottle a bit. Reminds me of a wine seller in Paris scolding me years ago "you Americans serve your reds too warm and your whites too cold". Cheers, JO
