January 30, 2022 - Dark ruby with high optical density and medium specular reflectivity, with slight amber rim. Aromas of soft cherry, crushed leaves, dried flower pedals, and spices of rum cake. Medium intensity and decent complexity.

On the palate, soft medium body with medium acidity and integrated tannins. Very round and seductive texture, with decent structure. Flavours of light dusty red fruits that carry through the entire journey, with crushed gravel, fresh earth, and clean tobacco smoke adding on. The midpalate is interesting and plenty intense, though in an elegant way. Finishes clean, with nice length over a dried leather and crushed roasted nuts. Overall medium intensity and a bit better than medium complexity.

This is a classic and good quality wine. Shows its age well, with a soft approachable framework and an elegant and refined presence. Awesome wine! Balanced, austere in all the best ways, and some thoughtful depth.
