  February 25, 2009 - The petite syrah in this blend really shows in the inky bluish black color. The aromas are a wonderful mix of black berry, lavender, rose, chocolate and pepper. The flavors come at you in layers of blackberry, currant, tar, roast meat, vanilla, pepper, coffee, chocolate. This is a wine to really chew on, with its full bodied complexity with loads of structure, great balance and great integration. The finish goes on and on.
