  February 6, 2022 - Alex Foillard, son of natural wine icon and gang of four member Jean Foillard, has some ambition of his own as well. In 2015 he bought some vineyards of his own in Brouilly - formerly unknown to the family. His Brouilly comes from 5 year old vines in the plot “La Folie” (a pretty steep one to work in). The wine has delicate aromas of violet, red cherry, strawberry, mid herbs and wet gravel. Lovely balanced wine with nice purity of fruit. Medium fruit- and mineral-dominated body, fresh acidity, subtle tannins. Delicate and smooth mid-long finish, with a herbal and mineral touch. Falling apples and trees etc..
