  October 26, 2008 - Edward Roberts International Pre-Auction Tasting (Union League Club, Chicago, IL): Nose: A little bit shy on the nose accompanied by earthy tones and dark fruits - mostly black fruits. Some hints of charcoal embers and cherry licorice.
  
  Taste: Typical Italo profile. Some standouts were prunes, figs, and a still tannic backbone. Blackberries. On the revisit after a while in the glass the wine began to open and the florals emerged and the wine smoothed out further.
  
  Overall: Impressive wine that will not disappoint.
