  February 17, 2022 - Hmm nice wine, been cellaring for a while, brought home from Italy work trip in early-mid oughts. Cork crumbled but wine is good. Color still vibrant with some (but minimal) bricking. Nose has a bit of petroleum jelly up front tho it faded w/ time, rich fruit at the beginning, bit of eucalyptus, black berry. Nose richer than palate, which I like. Still juicy mouthfeel with great acidity, tart dark berries, cherry, and a long mouthwatering finish; still tannins but not obtrusive, hint of sawdust. There’s also a hide and seek hint of sweetness that I can’t pin down. Overall I love this.
  Edited to add - this has a lot of life left, if you have some, no rush.
