  March 17, 2022 - Had this side by side with the 09 version. Both bottles were opened 3 hours prior and consumed over a 2.5hour dinner.
  
  The 09 was showing better at the start... but over the course of the evening, the 08 outshone it
  
  Violets and roses. Such a lovely bouquet. And on the palate, present but unobtrusive tannins. But over the course of the dinner, the 08 was just better. More acid, more structure, more fruit... more joy. The 08 was just better.
