March 11, 2009 - Tasted at the Cambridge University Wine Society annual dinner, hosted by Chateau Haut-Brion. Decanted at least 2-3 hours beforeghand. Lovely depth of colour. Very perfumed on the nose, lovely red fruits as well as the usual herbaceous and leathery aromas. On the palette it was rich and heavenly - very, very well balanced and smooth. Tannins and fruit perfectly marred - though I imagine with more cellar time this wine would also develop a little more depth and length, which although good and varied was not overly long. Wish I had a case of this.
