  March 21, 2009 - Bought on release. Very complex and interesting wine. Popped and poured before decanting, very strong minerally, spicy nose with red/black fruits. Color is dark blue. After a few minutes, spikey notes of leather and tobacco, bull's blood pop out on the nose. After 1 hr decanting, the nose has softened and rounded out out but it is still very intense. On the palate, very balanced with black-fruit. Long finish. Still has a good amount of tannins. Continued to get better over the night. Will get better with another 3-4 years. Very impressive wine.
