Community Tasting Note

August 21, 2022 - As noted in January, at this stage it does need a lot of aeration to really appreciate it, and is one the later left bank developers of the vintage. Beautifully perfumed, the nose is deeply aromatic with blackcurrant, red currants, and cedar. The palate is robust with great balance and depth, and is in many ways not typical of the year. Likewise the finish is lengthy and unwavering in its balance. For myself it lacks the "in your face" decadence of my favourite 2003s such as the Barton and Ducru-Beaucaillou, but I feel it could be a dark horse, and a silver fox in a few years time.

8/21/22, 1:57 PM - Awesome notes, David! I just recently picked up 2 more of these at auction as I am down to my last one and have enjoyed so many bottles over the last few years. Hope they drink as well as the last few...cheers, my friend!
