Introduction
This was the third year that Pinot Days has been in chicago, and I've attended every one. It's always a lot of fun to try all sorts of different producers, and almost always the producers bring great wine.
Flight 1 - Merry Edwards, Olson Ogden, and Ketcham (5 notes)

nose: dark and concentrated nose with some rich tones of black cherries, dark spices, dark berries and anisette
taste: fuller feel with good tannins and bigger tones of anisette, dark berries, black cherries and bits of dark currants. The feel is big and a bit rough around the edges with medium acidity
overall: in need of time. A bit brooding at this time and a big wine. Has a real interesting dark profile to it and seems to have the stuffing to shed some of its baby fat

Closing
There was a really big turn out again this year. It made things hard to get to after a while, but its great seeing that its so popular. A lot of quality wine was poured and it's always a fun event to go to. Looking forward to next year
