Had at d'Vine wine bar March monthly tasting - Tart and sour on the nose, this carries over to the palate. some floral notes, I do not get the tropical fruit at all that I associate with a Torrontes. Almost reminded me more of a cross between a NZ Sauvignon blanc and a Viogner...Did not like this too much, and would not buy or even drink if offered

Had at d/Vine Wine Bar March Monthly Tasting; simple but tasty;slightly creamy, medium bodied, tropical fruit on nose and palate. A bit oaky...Would be enjoyable as a quaffer...I liked this

Tasted at d'Vine wine bar March monthly Tasting - This was probably my wine of the night. A nice amount of dark fruit with a touch of spice...mouth coating tannins, strong taste of black liquorish. This was very nice...and very tasty. Fruit forward, but not over the top, could pair with food. Nice long finish. Needs some air, or some time sideways.
Red
2007 Arauco Carménère Reserva Chile, Maule Valley

Had at d'Vine wine Bar March monthly tasting. Meaty, gamey nose...not enough fruit on the palate for my taste. Earthy and a strong mint component on the palate. Two bottles were open, one had a fairly strong green pepper taste, the other it was much less noticeable. Not a fan of this style of wine in general, and did not think this was particularly well done. Some in the tasting really liked it though...
Red
2007 Casas de Pirque Cabernet Sauvignon Reserva Chile, Maipo Valley

Had at d'Vine wine Bar March Monthly Tasting. Not a particularly powerful nose. Dark red fruit on the palate, nice acidity. Also had a hint of bitter chocolate. Still very tannic as it was a pop and pour. would benefit from some air time. more old world than new, was interesting, and a decent value at <$12....

Had at d'Vine wine bar as part of March Monthly Tasting. Big full bodied wine...Fairly strong scent of Red fruit on the nose. On the palate, Red fruit, with some spiciness. Nice acidity, still a bit tannic. Powerful wine, but right now a bit of a one trick pony. Would hold up well to a nice thick steak. Good but not spectacular or even memorable. Liked it, and a fair value for the price...
