Flight 1 (5 notes)
White
2008 Verget Chablis Terroirs de Fontenay

Gahh, they topped this with a synthetic cork, which is a crime for such a nice wine. Representative nose, with a very crisp and steely body. Overflowing with leesy lemony flavor, with a very long finish. But drink up, because this thing will be oxidized to death in 10 minutes... $30

2008 Verget Chablis Terre de Pierres

Screw-cap top. Herbal notes on the nose. Green apple, very lemony, smoother than the Fontenay. Kinetic mouthfeel from the great acidity, crisp but not without some weight. Huge. $30
White
2008 Verget Chablis 1er Cru Vaillons
91 points
Kiss of oak on the nose. Slightly bigger feel. Softer, elegant. Very crisp and long. $40
White
2008 Verget Chablis 1er Cru Fourchaume
91 points
Almost high-toned nose, more oak. Slightly bigger flavor all around. Fairly ripe, and with noticeable oak. Creamyish texture. Still very crisp, great acidity. Lots of lime. $40
White
2008 Verget Chablis 1er Cru Fourchaume Vieilles Vignes de Vaulorens

Herbal dill nose. Medium- oak, smooth, elegant. More new-world than the others, but still definitely Chablis. $50
