Red
2005 Château Puygueraud France, Bordeaux, Libournais, Francs Côtes de Bordeaux

Very pretty earthy cherries on the nose and some elements of floral smell. On the palate dark fruits, smooth with very powerful mid-palate and medium long finish. The wine of the tasting for me.
Red
2005 Château Lyonnat Lussac-St. Émilion France, Bordeaux, Libournais, Lussac-St. Émilion
89 points
Earthy bordeaux nose. Ultra dry on the palate, still quite young, but good. Very long finish.88-89
Red
2007 Avalon Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley USA, California, Napa Valley
85 points
Clearly californian nose. Good fruity taste, with a hint of asian spices. Had a bit of that fake taste and slightly too sweet for me, but not bad. (This was "California" Cab, not Napa)
Red
2005 Gundlach Bundschu Merlot Rhinefarm Vineyard USA, California, Sonoma County, Sonoma Valley
89 points
This screams Cali on the nose. Cherries and good plummy spiciness. Quite sweet but long finish. 88-89
Red
2006 Anderson's Conn Valley Vineyards Cabernet Sauvignon Estate Reserve USA, California, Napa Valley
89 points
Fruity and spicy with some bitterness, likely Californian. Also some coffee and caramel on the palate. Long finish, clearly not cheap but not great either. 88-89+
Red
2004 Wellington Cabernet Sauvignon Sonoma County USA, California, Sonoma County
87 points
Sour cherries on the nose, . On the palate sweet fruity cherries and decent acidity. Clearly Cali. Short finish, but still good.
Red
2008 Villa des Anges Cabernet Sauvignon Vin de Pays d'Oc France, Languedoc Roussillon, Vin de Pays d'Oc
87 points
This was a puzzle for me, not really Cali but also not Bdx? A bit of earthiness and dark fruit with spicy medium+ finish. 86-87
