An absolutely mind boggling and profound wine experience - THANK YOU DAVID!
Gorgeous light roasted nuts, fresh baked cake, lightly burnt caramel, some baking spice. The aromatics are INTENSE - practically soaring out of the glass.
Really light on its feet, the palate shows remarkable concentration, acidity with an almost lemony citrus play on the back end.
Some slightly charred orange marmalade coming through as well. A super long finish with only moderate viscosity this wine could go for another fifty years to be honest.
Remarkable - high pitch (agree Phil) and really vibrant aromatics and mouth feel. One of the most memorable single bottles I've ever had the opportunity to sample.
We didn't want to finish the small taste we each were poured.A monumental wine tasting moment for all involved. Totally kick-ass.

Bright vivid yellow color - a bit of cloudiness. Nose of brioche, yellow apple, honey, light petrol notes, and lots of rocky minerality.
Some roasted and stewed pears and bits of tropical fruit - pineapple and green honeydew melon. Nice round balanced palate with excellent acid on the finish.
Baking spice - this is a serious well endowed wine with a couple decades ahead. Excellent purity and marvelous extraction...but does the price tag make it worth while? Maybe.

Earthy, funky, rich almost spicy yellow apple cider. Cinnamon, clove and striking minerality.
A long finish with great structure and pristine acidity. Clean sea breeze and fresh linen sensation.
Rocky, even a little grassy. Really refreshing and crisp but still full of layered fruit, rock and spice. Great wine.

Funky pure raspberry, cranberry, woody and earth. Great mid palate. Brought a little oomph, but I was looking for more substance on the palate.
A bit stemmy and briary. Good food wine. The nose is showing a lot better than the palate at the moment. Drink this now. Incredibly light in color and overall personality.

Plump aged New World cult styling. Purple fruit, inky, plummy blueberry pie. Super creamy - awesome mouth feel.
A little bit of an enjoyable green streak as well. Balanced fine tannins. Big and delicious. A strong feminine floral component.
Really pretty soft opulent qualities. A fantastic rich expressive wine. Shows a real sense of terroir - nice ripened mountain fruit. Beautiful.
One of the best Napa Cabs from one of the best vintage of the 90's.

Nose shows some signs of age. Burnt campfire or creosote aromas. Woody, funky, dirty petroleum jelly. Green bell pepper laced with some mint and light anise.
Layered aromatics and flavors. Some light spice - green peppercorn on the back end. Old World rustic persona. Really excellent wine.

1995 Val di Suga Brunello di Montalcino Italy, Tuscany, Montalcino, Brunello di Montalcino

Rusty, licorice, naily, iron laced with very light raspberry syrup. Light color styling. Lots of tar as well - big time.
Some dirt dusty trail action as well. Signature Italian nose. Some dried potpourri flower too. Subtle in style and intensity.
A little bit of fine age showing. Well integrated tannins. A good solid wine at a fair price point.

2003 James Cole Cabernet Sauvignon USA, California, Napa Valley

Nice peppery, menthol with some heat on the nose.
Big fatty and plush mouth feel. A big over extracted for my liking mostly because it lacks balance.
Still showing well, but had more potential. Raw tannin structure with a large dose of alcohol and lower acidity.

Showing well. Super dry fall leaves, rustic Old World styling with leather, tobacco and some dirt trail on the front end doused with dark cherries, currant and raspberry.
Elegant and subtle characteristics with some nice graphite and green stem bitterness.
Nicely integrated wine with a definitive front mid and back end flavoring. Elegant and feminine but not fluffy - enjoyably dirty. I like how its drinking now, but time to drink this up I believe.

1995 Etude Cabernet Sauvignon USA, California, Napa Valley

Moderate complex plummy, minty, creamy black rock with doses of menthol, rustic dark cherries, cola - Dr. Pepper.
Nice balance on the palate and finish. Good acidity and nice grip. Showing well.
I was surprised this was Etude, tasted more of a cult wine in the 100 dollar range.

2005 Saxum James Berry Vineyard USA, California, Central Coast, Paso Robles

Huge black plummy core surrounded by fig, blueberry, spearmint, charred pine needles, dark black licorice, and mounds of heavily smoked meat. Really gorgeous and voluptuous mouth feel - super sexy and well endowed. Cult Syrah characteristics in line with SQN and Alban.
Uber-rich but not overdone. Nice weight, mammoth complexity. Black and blue throughout - layers of meat and smoke. Fantastic.

**Open two weeks in cooler.**
Super buttery cotton candy. Ripe and fatty. Super creamy and nut driven.
Cantaloupe melon, lots of minerality - wet marble or granite.
Really flinty and still some sulfuric action left in the bottle which was great.
Amazing this was still going after that time open.
