Introduction
A tasting of roughly 50% 2002 red Burgundy and 2003 red Burgundy. At least one ringer and one wine from both vintages.

Closing
Rather disappointing overall (although I had a cold). Many of the wines had little to offer on the nose and most were acidic and tannic. Some at the event viewed this as being good structure that would pay off in 5-6 years, but right now these wines were not drinking too well.
The ringer (which a couple waxed lyrical as being their perfect Burgundy) was actually a 2002 Porters Pinot Noir from Martinborough, New Zealand.
