Went to one of my favorite Italian places for dinner with friends and family. Brought along a couple crowd pleasing wines.

Flight 1 (3 notes)

2007 Schild Estate Shiraz Australia, South Australia, Barossa, Barossa Valley
90 points
Like the '08 this bottle is drinking very nicely right now. This is the second bottle I've had in the past couple month. Nice big dark fruit, some spice, mocha and plums. Great bottle of wine for under $18.
2008 Bodega Numanthia Toro Termes Spain, Castilla y León, Toro

Nice purple color to this wine. Great nose of currants, licorice and a healthy dose of vanilla. Nice tannins, well balanced wine.
2000 Henry's Drive Cabernet Sauvignon Australia, South Australia, Limestone Coast, Padthaway
88 points
Drank at dinner with friends & family so didn't give this wine enough time to open up. Cork split in half upon opening. Very vegetal on the nose and palate at first which faded with more time in the glass. Nice meatiness, and some dark fruit still present. No tannins at all, nice silky mouth feel. Wine is at full maturity, and will start to fade over the years drink up now if you got it.
