From Barrel at the Domaine. Wine was going through malo. Mostly red fruits, but a touch of black currant. Raspberry notes. Very pretty brown spice notes. Like the Villages Chambolle, very fresh and clean. Nice mineral component. Again, great elements.

Red
2010 Domaine Comte Georges de Vogüé Bonnes Mares France, Burgundy, Côte de Nuits, Bonnes Mares Grand Cru
From Barrel at the Domaine. Barrel was finishing malo. Darker color hue than the previous wines. Darker fruit profile as well. Dark red/almost black cherry and raspberry. Some blueberry as well. Peonies. Some savory herb notes with bits of espresso. Great mineral backbone with a lot of grip throughout. Wonderful elements.
Red
2010 Domaine Comte Georges de Vogüé Musigny Cuvée Vieilles Vignes France, Burgundy, Côte de Nuits, Musigny Grand Cru
From 2 differnt barrels at the Domaine. First barrel was still going through malo, the second had just finished.
#1. Ruby/magenta color. Pure, clean fresh red raspberry, cherry and currant aromatics and flavors with an iron streak. Not much spice. Showing some reduction.
#2. A bit more expressive than the first cask. A slightly darker fruit profile here with a bit of pomegranate as well. Very concentrated sweet fruits. Huge mineral backbone. Gripping palate. Again not showing spice, as Francois Millet says that the malo has temporarily blocked it.

Great components and I can't wait to get back and try it again before bottling.

Flight 2 (1 note)

Red
2009 Domaine Comte Georges de Vogüé Musigny Cuvée Vieilles Vignes France, Burgundy, Côte de Nuits, Musigny Grand Cru
From barrel at the Domaine. A couple days before bottling. Powerful, expressive aromatics of dark berries, crushed stone, sweet rose petals and violets. Some cocoa notes intermixed with a touch of clove. Gripping palate and very long finish. Iron streak running throughout the wine. Great acidity and minerality. Outstanding wine.
