Red
2009 Domaine Georges Mugneret-Gibourg Bourgogne France, Burgundy, Bourgogne
From tank at the Domaine. Red and blue fruits on both the nose and palate. Great intensity and purity. Full and rich on the palate with nice texture and finish for a Bourgogne level wine. Very nice wine.
Red
2009 Domaine Georges Mugneret-Gibourg Vosne-Romanée France, Burgundy, Côte de Nuits, Vosne-Romanée
From tank at the Domaine. 20% new oak. Dark red fruit with lots of seductive spice on the nose. Full, rich red fruit on the medium bodied palate as well. Great texture and perfect balance. Medium plus finish with nice grip. Outstanding Villages level wine; one of the best I've had in a long time.
Red
2009 Domaine Georges Mugneret-Gibourg Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru Les Feusselottes France, Burgundy, Côte de Nuits, Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru
From tank at the Domaine. 40% new oak. Pure red fruit on the nose and palate with deep, dark floral notes. Again, great purity and intensity of fruit. Some cranberry notes as well. Very powerful, yet staying quite elegant. Very fine tannins. Medium plus finish. Outstanding wine.
Red
2009 Domaine Georges Mugneret-Gibourg Nuits St. Georges 1er Cru Les Chaignots France, Burgundy, Côte de Nuits, Nuits St. Georges 1er Cru
From bottle at the Domaine. Bottled three weeks ago. Deeper, more intense fruits than the preceding wines. Dark red/almost black and blue fruits with notes of earth and spice. Generous fruit on the palate with great structure. A pretty savory element to the wine. Nice acidity on the lengthy finish.
Red
2009 Domaine Georges Mugneret-Gibourg Echezeaux France, Burgundy, Côte de Nuits, Echezeaux Grand Cru
From tank at the Domaine. 60% new oak. From two separate parcels blended after vinification. One is roughly 70 year old vines and the other is roughly 40. Spicy dark red, black, and blue berry fruits on the nose and palate. Wonderful savory quality. Perfect balance, great texture, long gripping finish. As with the whole line-up, incredible purity of fruit. Beautiful.
Red
2009 Domaine Georges Mugneret-Gibourg Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru France, Burgundy, Côte de Nuits, Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru
From tank at the Domaine. 50% new oak. Vines planted in 2000. Cooler dark red and black fruits. Some savory notes of roasted meat/game and herbs. Medium bodied. Well balanced with good acidity and a medium finish. Lacking a bit of the elegance of the rest of the line, but still quite nice.
Red
2009 Domaine Georges Mugneret-Gibourg Ruchottes-Chambertin France, Burgundy, Côte de Nuits, Ruchottes-Chambertin Grand Cru
From tank at the Domaine. 70% new oak, 58 year old vines. Similar notes as the Gevrey 1er, but much more powerful and intense. Beautiful minerality and texture. Long gripping finish.
Red
2009 Domaine Georges Mugneret-Gibourg Clos Vougeot France, Burgundy, Côte de Nuits, Clos Vougeot Grand Cru
From bottle at the Domaine. Bottled 4 days ago. 70% new oak, 5.5 barrels, 56 year old vines located right by the Chateau. Very dark berries. Slightly candied cherry/berry notes. A great deal of spice with a savory/meaty note. Absolutely mouthcoating, great texture, wonderful acidity all throughout. Long, gripping finish. Outstanding.

Red
2010 Domaine Georges Mugneret-Gibourg Clos Vougeot France, Burgundy, Côte de Nuits, Clos Vougeot Grand Cru
From barrel at the Domaine. This was from a new oak barrel that had just started malo. Intense dark red berry fruit. Earth and slight spice. Fantastic elements; looking forward to seeing what this develops into.
