Flight 1 (4 notes)

Red
2000 Château Cos d'Estournel France, Bordeaux, Médoc, St. Estèphe
92 points
Open 4 hours. Powerful wine. Raspberries, other dark fruits and sweet tones on the still fairly closed nose. Classic, abundant fruits, minerals, coffee, long lingering and many tannins. More made on power than elegance.
Red
2000 Château Pontet-Canet France, Bordeaux, Médoc, Pauillac
93 points
Opened 3 hours. Very elegant and classic Bordeaux. Luxurious on the palate with minerals and chocolate - quite some pleasant bitter tones. Nose shows classic Cabernet tones with multiple berries, chocolate and licorice candies. Needs some more time.
Red
2000 Château Giscours France, Bordeaux, Médoc, Margaux
94 points
Opened 4 hours. Still young in its appearance. Full and elegant with fruits and graphite tones. Well delineated. Long finish.

Red
1990 Château Mouton Rothschild France, Bordeaux, Médoc, Pauillac
93 points
Concentration on the nose, dark sweet tones with chocolate, coffee, vanilla and some green tones. Ripe fruit and secondary tones on the palate. Long aftertaste with well integrated tannins. Beautiful bottle, better than 2 earlier bottles we had, but missing the power you expect from Mouton Rothschild.
