Light garnet in the glass. Nose on the pretty side with touches of tobacco and earth over a background of cherry and dust. On the lean side with cola flavors. Nose is better than palate.

14.4% ABV. Dark garnet in the glass. Ripe sweet nose with a touch of cream oak. Ripe, hedonistic berry fruit with a touch of sweetness. Not bad if you like the style, though it is a little one-dimensional.

15.4% ABV. Darker in appearance than the 2009 vintage tasted alongside. Also showing a darker fruit profile. Youthful with a touch of stemmy firmness. Tasty, but perhaps in need of a bit of time.

14.1% ABV. A blend of Roussanne, Grenache Blanc, and Marsanne. Aromatic nose of melon, stone fruit, and a touch of nut. Quite nice on the nose. Ripe, clean open knit palate that mimics the fruit in the nose. Nice balance and length. This is outstanding.

Pale salmon in the glass. Reticent nose with a touch of something animal/feral. On the palate however it is clean with a nice peachy/strawberry fruit combination. Good.

Opaque dark garnet, somewhat inky, in the glass. Inky smelling, reticent nose with a bit of leather. Somewhat brooding. Full bodied. Needs some time to come around.

Turns a bit firm toward the finish. Better with air or some bottle age probably. The community drink window of 2016-2019 sounds fairly reasonable.

Golden in the glass. Somewhat glue-like and reductive on the nose. Frankly sweet with a ripe nectar quality. Pleasant.

We broke away from the Rose lunch early at the invitation of Matt T to taste some wines at Linne Calodo. Really nice showing for most of their wines.

The winemaker (Matt T.) popped a bottle of this for us during our visit. This particular bottle was not showing well, with a very tawny appearance and a generally tired palate. Might have shown better outside the company of all the young bottles and barrel samples of LC.
