Garnacha Blanc from 100+ year old vines. Light straw in the glass. Lightly floral, crisp green apple nose. Ripe crisp clean mineral and white fruit. Refreshing.

Translucent, slightly tawny garnet in the glass. Ripe kirsch nose. Medium bodied and on the pretty/delicate side with strawberry and some citrus nuances. Silky texture. Good.

2010 Daniel Gomez Jimenez Landi Vino de la Tierra de Castilla El Reventón Spain, Castilla-La Mancha, Vino de la Tierra de Castilla
92 points
Translucent dark ruby garnet in the glass with brighter edges. Ripe berry fruit nose with mineral and chalk nuances. Others mentioned lavender on the nose, but I missed it. Juicy berry fruit on the front of the palate, finishing a little structured. Maybe needs some time in bottle. Made in the same way as the preceding J-L 2010 Garnacha, but very different.
Red

80% Monastrell, 10% Garnacha, 10% Syrah. Somewhat translucent dark garnet in the glass. Mineral, wax, and dark berry nose. Medium full bodied with some structure. Berry fruit with nuances of mineral and chalk. Pretty good.

2009 Bodegas Mas Alta Priorat La Creu Alta Spain, Catalunya, Priorat
93 points
Carignan/Garnacha blend. Opaque dark garnet in the glass with an electric rim. Dried herbs and minerals dominate the nose with background sweetness/fruit. Ripe, concentrated, rather full bodied and structured with black fruit and herbs mirroring the nose. nice/really nice.
Red
2009 Clos Erasmus Priorat Spain, Catalunya, Priorat
92 points
Mostly opaque dark garnet in the glass. Pretty and complex nose with a piercing/lifted herbal note a bit like tarragon/licorice and a bit like Eucalyptus, with a slight glue note bringing down the party a bit. Ripe, medium full bodied with nice combination of power and elegance. Good length. Very good. 92-93
