Tasted at the winery. This bottle was already opened, and it was a really nice, balanced wine with flavors of dark fruits and terroir. Other tasting notes mentioned that the wine got better within a few hours after opening, and I suspect we tasted after the bottle had been open a while. Bottom line seems that this wine could use decanting. (Doris 91)

Tasted at the winery. WOW, what a wine. Pure Gold. Starts off with a bouquet of cassis, dark fruits and flowers. Dark ruby color, mouth filling and glass staining! Very well balanced, with very soft tannins. Cassis and plum lead the flavors with other dark fruits, vanilla and earth following behind. This is a big, elegant yet velvety wine from vines that are 95-160 years old. (Doris 95)

The palate comes alive with the flavors of the dark berries, cassis and terroir. Mouth filling tannins. Long and luscious finish. After another 2-3 years in the bottle this should be an outstanding wine. (Doris 89)
