Flight 1 (3 notes)

Red
2010 Domaine Vincent Paris Cornas La Geynale France, Rhône, Northern Rhône, Cornas
Barrel sample. Nose is much tighter than 30 & 60; oak the most prominent characteristic just now. This is a bit of a monster. Masses and masses of tannin. Huge structure. Fruit is excellent though. Serious and savoury. But brooding just now. Lots of potential for those prepared to wait. 2018+
Red
2010 Domaine Vincent Paris Cornas Granit 30 France, Rhône, Northern Rhône, Cornas
Barrel Sample. Much more spice on the nose than Mark Haisma's Cornas and also a hint of freshly polished wood (but I don't think this sees any oak?). Lovely, juicy palate - blackcurrant predominantly with some black pepper coming through at the end. Not that complex (yet?) but should yield lots of pleasure. 2014+
Red
2010 Domaine Vincent Paris Cornas Granit 60 France, Rhône, Northern Rhône, Cornas
Barrel sample. Nose is similar to the 30 but a touch tighter. Much more savoury and serious on the palate. Not as exuberant as the 30 and not necessarily better; just different. 2015+
