Rosé - Sparkling
1999 Deutz Champagne Cuvée William Deutz Rosé
Mostly Pinot Noir. Red cherry and strawberry showing very fresh fruit with moderate energy and power. Very classically made Pinot Noir Rose Champagne, even if not my personal favorite.
White
2010 Domaine Dublère Corton-Charlemagne
92 points
Tasting. Ripe apple aromas and flavors with some lemon and lemon peel coming through on palate as well. Very good energy and acidity coming through on finish.
Red
1995 Domaine Comte Georges de Vogüé Musigny Cuvée Vieilles Vignes
95 points
Tasting. From magnum. Fresh and powerful black fruit aromas with background spice. Ripe, large scaled and powerful on palate, also still more fresh than I ever expect from 1995s. Big spice in middle and finish. This will continue to get better going forward.
Red
2010 Maison Albert Bichot Echezeaux Domaine du Clos Frantin
91 points
Tasting. Big red and black cherry aromas. similar flavor profile on palate with background spice and very firm tannins, giving a backward character for now.
Red
1995 Denis Mugneret Père et Fils Richebourg
89 points
Tasting. Very good red fruit aromas with modest spice. Forward red cherry, hints of mushroom, modest spice. Overall good, just didn't show particular Vosne spice or character to me.
Red
2000 Domaine Anne Gros Clos Vougeot Le Grand Maupertui
flawed
Came across as reductive, tough to assess. Rather simple throughout.
Red
2008 Domaine Bruno Clair Chambertin-Clos de Bèze
92 points
Tasting. Red and black fruit aromas with a lean character. Similar on palate with a bit more spice. Slightly shut down in middle, then more powerful on finish. Lots of potential, but needs time in cellar.

Red
1997 Domaine Méo-Camuzet Vosne-Romanée 1er Cru Aux Brûlées
91 points
Tasting. Lush and very ripe fruit that is maturing nicely. Black fruit, lots of spice with moderate structure. I'd like a little more acidity, so it's time to drink up in the next few years.
Red
1999 Mongeard-Mugneret Grands-Echezeaux
Tasting. Horsey aromas that didn't come across as pristine. Big fruit to start but too tart on finish. Off bottle?
Red
2005 Domaine des Lambrays Clos des Lambrays
93 points
Tasting. From magnum. Perfumed nose, charming spice, with plenty of black fruit aromas. Lots of power and black cherry and blackberry on palate, slightly shut down, but the power and density show this wine's obvious fundamental potential.

Red
1999 Paul Jaboulet Aîné Hermitage La Chapelle
88 points
Tasting. Black and dense start. Overall good, just slightly short and simple.
Red
1981 Château Haut-Brion
89 points
Tasting. Earth aromas with tobacco and mushroom. Moderate length and power, but drinking very nicely right now.
Red
2000 E. Guigal Côte-Rôtie Château d'Ampuis
92 points
Tasting. Very rich and ripe, but this came across as more balanced than I recall from approx 5 years ago. Still comes across as fresh and primary to start, then sneaky power and structure come through on long finish.

Red
1975 Paul Jaboulet Aîné Hermitage La Chapelle
87 points
Tasting. Horsey, barnyard character. This bottle at least was well past its peak.
Red
2000 Henri Bonneau Châteauneuf-du-Pape Réserve des Célestins
Tasting. Incredibly ripe and powerful. This wine has lots of everything but seemed far more backward than I remember from before, but those times it might have gotten more air. This needs at least another decade to really shows its best.

Red
1991 Diamond Creek Cabernet Sauvignon Gravelly Meadow
Tasting. Black current and some cassis aromas. Still a bit backward, giving a simple character overall. Hard to really understand completely.
Red
2005 Harlan Estate
Tasting. From magnum. Massive black fruit aromas and flavors with some black pepper and liqueur. Plenty of prominent oak today, but this has great extract and density, so expect it will be an incredibly interesting wine once it settles down a little more.
