Flight 1 (6 notes)

Rosé - Sparkling
N.V. Jacques Lassaigne Champagne Extra Brut Rose de Montgueux France, Champagne
Salmon colored. Tart, dry and earthy with a hint of strawberry. OK but not more.
Rosé - Sparkling
N.V. Laherte Frères Champagne Brut Rosé France, Champagne
Vivid pink and frothy. Rich black Pinot fruit with some yeast. Dry, deep and long.
Rosé - Sparkling
N.V. Paul Bara Champagne Grand Cru Grand Rosé France, Champagne, Champagne Grand Cru
Pale pink, fine bead. Very refined, pure, fruit-driven aromatics. Light weight, low dosage. Strong minerality on the finish. Excellent, and the best of the 3 Champagnes tonight.

Salmon tint. Yeasty nose. Sweeter entry. Some toast and bitterness at the end. Disjointed and poorly balanced.

Medium pink. Sweet, full bodied and loosely structured with ill defined fruit. Some citrus at the end. Simple and crude sparkling wine.

N.V. Balivet Vin du Bugey-Cerdon Méthode Ancestrale France, Savoie, Vin du Bugey-Cerdon
Bright pink. Caramel and sweet ripe cherry. Medium weight. Pleasant finish with some yellow apple. Innocuous.
