Flight 1 (5 notes)

White
2011 Sojourn Chardonnay Sangiacomo Vineyard USA, California, Sonoma County, Sonoma Coast
88 points
Light gold in the glass. The nose seemed to be predominantly cereal/grains with a touch of oak. Medium-full bodied with tangy apple and pear fruit. Seems to finish somewhat oaky and raw to my palate, but per Craig H. this saw only 25% new.
Red
2011 Sojourn Pinot Noir Rodgers Creek Vineyard Sonoma Coast USA, California, Sonoma County, Sonoma Coast
90 points
Translucent, slightly cloudy bright garnet in the glass. Stemmy nose with a sharp, spicy black cherry background. Medium bodied with earthy, reticent fruit on the palate. Finishes a little short. This is 80% Pommard clone.

Red
2011 Sojourn Pinot Noir Gap's Crown Vineyard Sonoma Coast USA, California, Sonoma County, Sonoma Coast
92 points
Translucent dark ruby garnet in the glass. Tasting this along side the Rodger's Creek of the same vintage this seems riper and more fruit driven (which I like). Creamy black cherry fruit nose. Medium-full bodied with juicy fruit on the palate. Decent length. 92-93.

Red
2010 Sojourn Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer Georges III Vineyard USA, California, Napa Valley, Rutherford
Opaque dark garnet in the glass. Somewhat savory aromatically with black currants, tea, and black raspberry. Medium-full bodied and fairly luscious on the palate with nice length and an herbal note in the finish. Good, but pricey IMO.
Red
2010 Sojourn Cabernet Sauvignon Spring Mountain District USA, California, Napa Valley, Spring Mountain District
91 points
Opaque dark garnet in the glass. Tasted alongside the 2010 Beckstoffer this is more red currant oriented and generally more fruit driven (and or perhaps a bit less "serious"). Medium-full bodied with a touch of bay/herb on the palate. Pretty good. 91-92.
