Flight 1 (8 notes)

White
2004 Domaine Patrick Javillier Bourgogne Blanc Cuvée des Forgets France, Burgundy, Bourgogne Blanc
88 points
Clear and bright. Pale and vibrant. Lively. Peachy with some white flower (and a touch of oak?). Good acidity, fresh with more peach on the palate. Good length with sweet ripe fruit and a little caramel.
White
2007 Etienne Sauzet Chassagne-Montrachet France, Burgundy, Côte de Beaune, Chassagne-Montrachet
89 points
Pale straw, clear and bright. Intense nose with oak notes and a touch of sap. Powerful on the palate with good acidity - not quite in balance with oak a little separate.
White
2008 Fernand & Laurent Pillot Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru Les Vergers France, Burgundy, Côte de Beaune, Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru
84 points
Straw, clear and bright. A little odd at the start on the nose with some reduction. Clearing to reveal honey notes. Touch flat on the palate, reasonable acidity low on fruit and very dry - possible bottle variation.
White
2009 Etienne Sauzet Puligny-Montrachet France, Burgundy, Côte de Beaune, Puligny-Montrachet
89 points
Pale, clear and bright. Sharp nose with a touch of spice over the peaches. Sweet fruit start to the palate. Oak notes separate and later with a touch of bitterness on the close. Needs more time.
White
2008 Domaine Henri Boillot Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru Clos de la Mouchère France, Burgundy, Côte de Beaune, Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru
92 points
Clear and bright. Lemon colour. Touch oaky on the nose, a whig of sulphur, melons. Sweet ripe intense fruit on the palate. Good integration.
White
2007 Jean-Philippe Fichet Meursault Meix Sous le Château France, Burgundy, Côte de Beaune, Meursault
92 points
Pale lemon. Soft nose with butter and sweet fruit. Touch of cream. Full, rich, textured on the palate. Intense, long with good fruit.

White
2004 Pierre Morey Meursault 1er Cru Les Perrières France, Burgundy, Côte de Beaune, Meursault 1er Cru
90 points
Almost golden in colour. Angelica on the nose, softer with some vegetal notes. Perhaps hints of flat lucozade! Soft dry with less fruit dominance on the palate.
White
2006 Domaine Chandon de Briailles Corton Blanc France, Burgundy, Côte de Beaune, Corton Grand Cru
91 points
Some development in the colour. Intense sweet nose with flowers and fruit. Long. Still a touch of oak at the start but good integration and melon fruits. Long finish.
