White - Sparkling
1997 Philipponnat Champagne Brut Clos des Goisses France, Champagne
91 points
Tasting. Lemon, baked apple, spice hints and toasted bread with rounded textures, moderate minerality, good acidity.
White
1993 Domaine Lamy-Pillot Montrachet France, Burgundy, Côte de Beaune, Montrachet Grand Cru
Dark golden color. Aromas of hazelnut, mature stone fruit and sweet spice. Similarly flavorful and mature on palate, moderate intensity and length. Drink up.

White
2009 Domaine Roulot Meursault Les Vireuils France, Burgundy, Côte de Beaune, Meursault
89 points
Apple and pear on both nose and palate with hints of baking spice. Ripe and fat fruit to start, more mineral-driven textures near finish. Good now, very good for its level.
White
2000 Dauvissat-Camus Chablis Grand Cru Les Clos France, Burgundy, Chablis, Chablis Grand Cru
93 points
Dark color. Ripe orchard fruit aromas with some baked apple flavor that comes across as fairly mature. Lots of power and concentration throughout, with some vibrant acidity emerging at the very finish.
White
2006 Henri Boillot Corton-Charlemagne France, Burgundy, Côte de Beaune, Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru
92 points
From 3L bottle. Alluringly ripe apple and pear with peach hints on nose and palate. Lots of spice that I would consider partly classically Corton-Charlemagne, but also still showing lots of new oak.
White
2011 Domaine Roulot Meursault 1er Cru Les Perrières France, Burgundy, Côte de Beaune, Meursault 1er Cru
94 points
Second time in two days trying this wine. Exactly the same as Thursday night's great bottle.
White
2002 Domaine / Maison Vincent Girardin Bâtard-Montrachet France, Burgundy, Côte de Beaune, Bâtard-Montrachet Grand Cru
92 points
Peach aromas with sweet spice, followed by peach and pear flavors, all very fresh and lush with lots of alluring fat and intensity. Very good.
Rosé - Sparkling
1995 Taittinger Champagne Comtes de Champagne Rosé Brut France, Champagne
91 points
Lots of strawberry and tart red cherry on nose and palate, all very powerful. Bit of toast comes through in background. Surprisingly advanced for its age.
White - Sparkling
1966 Moët & Chandon Champagne Cuvée Dom Pérignon France, Champagne
Caramel character with sweet apple and pear elements. Very rich, charming and long. I rarely like Champagne this old, but this is very enticing.
Red
1996 Domaine Dujac Vosne-Romanée 1er Cru Les Beaux Monts France, Burgundy, Côte de Nuits, Vosne-Romanée 1er Cru
89 points
Very mature red fruit with good baking spice. More advanced that I would expect. Very enjoyable today, but I wouldn't expect greater things going forward.
Red
1998 Joseph Drouhin Musigny France, Burgundy, Côte de Nuits, Musigny Grand Cru
91 points
Red and black berry aromas, followed by more black fruit flavors and good spice. Slightly more advanced than I would expect, but still firm from middle to finish, which continues with some nuance and finesse. Tough to assess how/where this will evolve going forward.
White
1995 Domaine Leflaive Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru Les Pucelles France, Burgundy, Côte de Beaune, Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru
flawed
Slightly corked.
Red
1998 Domaine Joseph Roty Charmes-Chambertin Très Vieilles Vignes France, Burgundy, Côte de Nuits, Charmes-Chambertin Grand Cru
flawed
Stewed, seemed heat damaged.
Red
1985 Mommessin Clos de Tart France, Burgundy, Côte de Nuits, Clos de Tart Grand Cru
Very mushroomy with lots of forest floor. Started borderline dirty, but that blew off after a few minutes. Showed very mature red and black cherry aromas and flavors start-to-finish. Nice and elegant, just not as exciting as the most recent bottle I tried a few years back.
White - Sparkling
2002 Ruinart Champagne Dom Ruinart Blanc de Blancs France, Champagne
94 points
Bright and eye opening, continues to impress as before, even at this very early stage in its life. Consistent with the other 3-4 times I've had this great young Champagne.
Red
2006 Domaine Comte Georges de Vogüé Bonnes Mares France, Burgundy, Côte de Nuits, Bonnes Mares Grand Cru
93 points
Red cherry aromas and flavors that come across as very forward, showing more "2006" character to me vs "Bonnes Mares" character. Intriguing sweet and savory spice emerges mostly from middle to finish, with tannins and density most notable at the very end.
Red
2010 Domaine Armand Rousseau Père et Fils Chambertin France, Burgundy, Côte de Nuits, Chambertin Grand Cru
97 points
Small taste. Already sensational and balanced, a monumental young wine that's great now. Perhaps this will shut down, but I really want to see where this wine will be as it matures 2025 forward.

Red
2000 Louis Jadot Bonnes Mares France, Burgundy, Côte de Nuits, Bonnes Mares Grand Cru
91 points
Fresh and forward black and red cherry aromas and flavors with subtle spice. Fun and forward, still quite fresh, very nicely balanced. Lacking a little bit of concentration I often find and like in Bonnes Mares.
