Flight 1 (2 notes)

2004 Flavio Roddolo Barbera d'Alba Italy, Piedmont, Alba, Barbera d'Alba
87 points
Dark ruby, some delevoped color. Sour-sweet nose with plum, humus and some chemical notes. Juicy, with high acidity and a dry finish with some green tannins. Nice barbera.
Drink now, as the fruit seems to be fading.
2007 Cappellano Barbera d'Alba Gabutti Italy, Piedmont, Alba, Barbera d'Alba

Dark ruby. Perfumed (sweet) nose, yet a bit shy. Humus and liquorice. Sour-sweet style. Juicy, very nice cherry fruit. Some earty notes. Good lenght. Still a bit young, but with very good potential. Will keep my last bottle for 3 more years.

Flight 2 (1 note)

White - Off-dry
2004 Karthäuserhof Eitelsbacher Karthäuserhofberg Riesling Auslese Nr. 54 Germany, Mosel Saar Ruwer

Very pure and delicate. Some botrytis, apricot and ananas on the nose. Still impressive young.
