LOVELY cool fruit; sappy and delicious!

Nose of beautiful green skunkiness, palate is acidic then sweet, then bitter; hmm; disjointed for the time being? A boatload of initial promise. 20% stems.

Promising but tight, amazing glass residuals

An alluring skunky nose that reminds me of my favorite Pinot Noirs, in particular Enderle and Moll. WOW. Light and watery but fabulous; grand cru depth without weight here, fabulous!

Monopole. I'd've bet the farm that it was Pinot Blanc inflected, but apparently no, says Bernard. Peanutty nose; minerality proper to PB to my mind.

Bertrand's last vintage before the domaine was sold to Morey Tawse and Mark Fincham took over. This was nice but I was rushed and had little time for notes. By this point of the tasting, they were packing up, and I was fighting to hold back tears noting just how little respect Fincham had for my favorite winemaker Bertrand Maume's legacy and skills, and how Pascal Marchand and Fincham were using him as a whipping boy to move heavy items for the tasting.

Nose is wheaty with cassis. Palate stern a bit but good.

Standout! a wow nose, supple tannins, acid, will be awesome, slight barnyard and candy and heat. Should resolve.

Nose of alluring fruit. Palate tannic with a bite over a glycerin core, pretty residuals of sweet plum and roses. Will be bottled in mid-April. As an ensemble, the Cacheux wines seemed to lack a refinement I'd've hoped for at this level. And given the sexy old school labels that beckoned me to them.

Nose is similar to "standard" Clos de Vougeot; bright and clear, with red currant and truffle; only tactile difference seems to be a denser jam on the palate, this is very nice!

Nose offers more beloved sweet green forest skunk aromas; palate is sweet and delicious, tannic a tiny bit with good acid. As with last wine, somewhat simple, monolithic but awesome nonetheless.

Nose of cool, skunky fruit and mandarin! First time I've found that aroma. And I love me some alluring uniqueness. Palate is a big-time yum, roses for days. Cecile Tremblay confirms my suspicion that this "skunkiness" character I find in my favorite Pinots is indeed a result of whole cluster.
