White - Sparkling
N.V. De Perrière Crémant de Bourgogne Brut France, Burgundy, Crémant de Bourgogne
87 points
Fairly attractive nose of apple, pear and florals. Palate is a little more bland though, decent length with some sweetness from the dosage. Nice overall.
White - Sparkling
N.V. Eric Rodez Champagne Grand Cru Cuvée des Crayères France, Champagne, Champagne Grand Cru
89 points
Disgorged 05/13. Apple, pear, musk and saline character. Lean on the palate with plenty of that pear flavour. Good length and nice lemon acidity that gives it a tangy aftertaste.
White - Sparkling
2013 Blind Corner Chenin Blanc Crémant Australia, Western Australia, South West Australia, Margaret River
87 points
Orange peel, soapy florals and some lees influenced aromas. A fair bit of dosage here and the acidity feels separated rather than integrated. Decent but not special.
White - Sparkling
N.V. Bindi Cuvée II Australia, Victoria, Port Phillip, Macedon Ranges
86 points
Disgorged September 2000. Toast, butterscotch, herbal and mint with an oxidative edge to it. Fair bit of body and power, carries well enough. Drink now.
White - Sparkling
N.V. A. R. Lenoble Champagne Cuvée Intense Brut France, Champagne
89 points
Lemon, mineral and musk on the nose. Refreshing palate, the acidity is good and there is some depth to the fruit.

Rose, lemon, floral and graphite on the nose. Has some sweetness but it is in the background with quite good acidity. Not complex but good to drink.

White - Sparkling
N.V. Gosset Champagne Brut Excellence France, Champagne
86 points
Earth, ginger and aldehyde on the nose. The palate is rather soft, though the acid does come through toward the finish. A bit plain.
White - Sparkling
N.V. Veuve Monsigny Champagne Selection France, Champagne
84 points
Musk and lemon. Little depth with the fruit fading away early. For what it is, it is decent.
White - Sparkling
2004 Laurent-Perrier Champagne Brut Millésimé France, Champagne
90 points
Lemon floral, chalk, peach, musk and pineapple. Really nice acidity cleanses the palate, good length to it. Improved with air. Very nice drinking.
White - Sparkling
2013 Domaine Lucci Chardonnay Pétillant Australia, South Australia, Mount Lofty Ranges, Adelaide Hills
84 points
Apple and pear. Fairly bland palate, little persistence. Similar to the last time I tried it.
White - Sweet/Dessert
2011 Peterson House Sémillon Sparkling Botrytis Australia, New South Wales, Hunter Valley, Pokolbin
87 points
Blind. Apricot, mango, papaya - seems to have some botrytis which was confirmed on the reveal. Rather sweet, it has decent length but you have to be a fan of sweetness to find the balance ideal.
White
1999 Lake's Folly Chardonnay Australia, New South Wales, Hunter Valley
91 points
Oak, spice, butter, lemon and melon. Palate is well balanced and in a good phase of its development, with roundness but also still the fruit showing freshness. A confident wine without any awkward edges.
White
1998 Coldstream Hills Chardonnay Reserve Australia, Victoria, Port Phillip, Yarra Valley
88 points
Smoky and obvious oak on the nose. Mouthfilling with sweet fruit and a full bodied drive. Stylistically not my favourite but would certainly find some fans.
White
2008 Peccavi Wines Chardonnay Australia, Western Australia, South West Australia, Margaret River
90 points
Slightly reductive, pear, florals. Nicely restrained palate with clean fruit and good brightness. Oak usage is well handled.
White
2011 By Farr Chardonnay Australia, Victoria, Port Phillip, Geelong
90 points
Pear, graphite, oak, lemon and spice. Palate is nicely restrained, if the texture were a little better this would be excellent. I still really quite like it though.
Fruit/Vegetable Wine
2006 Cheongdo Gamwine Persimmon Sillarian Gamgrin Special Korea, Gyeongsanbuk-do
68 points
Blind. Model glue, VA, oxidative notes. Astringent palate, puckering mouthfeel. Rather bad really but always fun to try something unique.
Red
2014 For the Dandy in the Clos Australia, New South Wales, Hunter Valley
85 points
Very peppery, with stalk and wild floral notes. Palate is very light on the fruit, there isn't that much interest to the palate either. Decent but unexciting.
Red
2011 Domaine Ramonet Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru Clos de la Boudriotte Rouge France, Burgundy, Côte de Beaune, Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru
90 points
Stalk, spice, oak and earth. Sweet red fruit on the palate, this is very easy to drink with light structure behind it. Drink over the next 5 years.
Red
2012 Ata Rangi Pinot Noir New Zealand, North Island, Wairarapa, Martinborough
90 points
Spice, graphite, smoke, raspberry and cherry. Bright palate, good acidity and structure. Very youthful and will develop nicely over the next 10 years.
Red - Sparkling
2006 Leasingham Shiraz Classic Clare Sparkling Australia, South Australia, Mount Lofty Ranges, Clare Valley
89 points
Salami, cherry, spice and rhubarb. Red fruit sweetness across the whole palate, with medium length. Nice but a little bit was enough.
Red - Sparkling
N.V. Primo Estate Joseph Sparkling Red Australia, South Australia, Mount Lofty Ranges, Adelaide Plains
88 points
Disgorged July 2012. Sultana, cherry and spice. A bit heavy on the palate, there is some nice acidity but its a letdown compared to the complexity of some of these that I've had before.
Red
2001 By Farr Shiraz Australia, Victoria, Port Phillip, Geelong
86 points
Tomato juice, stalk, basic and charcoal. The palate is quite youthful, there is some good length to it as well but the structure isn't quite in sync with the fruit. Overall though it is a bit all over the place.
Red
2014 Lucy Margaux Vineyards Syrah Antoine de Femme Australia, South Australia, Mount Lofty Ranges, Adelaide Hills
90 points
Carbonic influence, strawberry and a herbal undertone. Rather enjoyable palate, plenty of spice to compliment the sweet red fruit. Fresh and vibrant for now.
Red
2000 E. Guigal Côte-Rôtie Brune et Blonde France, Rhône, Northern Rhône, Côte-Rôtie
88 points
Earth, redcurrant, some blackberry and pepper. Palate is medium bodied and while it has some of the spice of the nose it doesn't really stand out in any way. Competent but not very memorable.
Red
2000 Clos Saint-André Châteauneuf-du-Pape France, Rhône, Southern Rhône, Châteauneuf-du-Pape
88 points
Clean nose - raspberry, plum and ash. Fresh fruit on the palate, with good length, though it is very straightforward - a twist would give it some interest.
Red
2010 Domaine le Sang des Cailloux Vacqueyras Cuvée Floureto France, Rhône, Southern Rhône, Vacqueyras
89 points
Smoke, stalk, herbs and redcurrant on the nose. Nicely medium bodied, there is nice brightness to the fruit while still showing restraint. Nice.
White - Sweet/Dessert
1971 Winzerverein Rauenthaler Rauenthaler Wülfen Riesling Beerenauslese Germany, Rheingau
91 points
Mango, peach and lime aromas. Restrained sweetness on the palate, excellent length. Drinking in superb condition now.
