Tasted blind. Slow-oxed in bottle about 2 hours before drinking.

On the palate, dry, high acidity, medium alcohol, medium body. Medium+ flavour intensity, with flavours of hazelnut, integrated tosted oak, minerality, and some stone fruits. Medium finish.
Good quality. Balanced wine with a good zing of acidity. Worth re-exploring in another 3 years.
White
2004 Michel Colin-Deléger et Fils Chevalier-Montrachet France, Burgundy, Côte de Beaune, Chevalier-Montrachet Grand Cru
95 points
Aired in decanter for about an hour, and drank over 2 hours.
NOT PREM-OXED, YAY!
Appearance is clear, pale intensity, gold colour. Legs.
Nose is clean, medium+ intensity, with a bouquet of honey, nutty oak, chalky stony minerality, and citrus fruits. Developed. Very nicely integrated. The honey and nuts gel together so nicely and there is just something so different from most of the oaky New World Chards.
On the palate, dry, high acidity, medium alcohol, medium body. Medium+ flavour intensity, with flavours of nutty oak, honey, chalky stony minerality, rich citrus fruits and almost pineapple. All nicely integrated. Very balanced. Put on more weight with air, but remained effortless on the palate.
Outstanding quality oaked Chardonnay. Drink and enjoy over the next 5+ years.
Red
2006 Domaine des Lambrays Clos des Lambrays France, Burgundy, Côte de Nuits, Clos des Lambrays Grand Cru

Pop and poured. Drank over 2 hours. Very tight on the palate. Sigh, should have decanted this.

On the palate, dry, high acidity, medium alcohol, medium+ tannins, medium body. Medium flavour intensity, with flavours of sweet baking spices, cinnamon, soft toasted oak, deep dark red and black cherries. Long finish. Feminine style but definitely with weight lurking.
Very good quality. I would say give this another 3-4 years or a good decant to allow the plush dark fruit to emerge.

On the palate. dry, high acidity, medium alcohol, medium tannins, medium+ body. Medium+ flavour intensity, with flavours of spice, mocha, ripe dark red cherries, slight earth, minerality, and some mild stemminess. Long finish.
I was guessing a Gevrey-Chambertin or a Vosne-Romanee, and all of us were guessing <10 years' old. What a shocker when this was revealed to be 1997!
Very good quality considering that 1997 is supposed to be an early drinking vintage. This is still so backward and could go another 5 years, but may not improve much in terms of development.
60% from Beaumonts Bas and 40% from Beaumonts Hauts.

Pop and poured. Drank over 2 hours.
Appearance is clear, pale intensity, ruby colour. Legs.

On the palate, dry, high acidity, medium+ alcohol, soft medium- tannins, medium body. Medium flavour intensity, with flavours of mint, sweet spices, bright red cherries, slight earth, and a rather nice cola fizziness. Long finish.
Very good quality. Though it lacks the seriousness and concentration of a Grand Cru, it is really quite enjoyable and drinking well. A consequence of the vintage? Drink up over the next 2-3 years.
From Faiveley's En Orveaux holdings in Echezeaux.
