White
2011 Geoffroy Pinot Meunier Champagne Vin Clair France, Champagne
90 points
Spice, honey and lime. Good acidity and interesting to try.
White - Sparkling
N.V. Pierre Gerbais Champagne l’Audace Brut Nature France, Champagne
90 points
Cookies and cream, cherry and a touch of herb. Nice pure fruit on the palate, with a rich edge to the whole thing.
White - Sparkling
2010 Charlot-Tanneux Champagne Expression Extra Brut France, Champagne
90 points
Ginger, lemon curd, roses and spice. Palate has good flow with a light grip to it. Nice length and the lightness of the fruit really works here. Pretty great value for money.
White - Sparkling
2011 Marie Courtin Champagne Resonance Extra Brut France, Champagne
91 points
Herb, flint and roses. Vinous character, with the fruit nicely lean and grippy. A textural wine with really nice depth already. The zero dosage is definitely evident and I think it works.

White - Sparkling
2011 David Leclapart Champagne Premier Cru l'Amateur Blanc de Blancs Extra Brut France, Champagne, Champagne Premier Cru
91 points
Floral perfume, mint and violet - plenty going on with the nose. The palate is vinous and quite rich, though the purity of the fruit still shines through the concentration. A wine that is definitely in the house style from what I've tried.
Rosé - Sparkling
N.V. Pierre Gerbais Champagne Rosé de Saignée France, Champagne
88 points
2011 fruit. Cherry and raspberry, apple and lime. A fair amount of fruit power on the palate. The acidity is quite strong and does linger for a little while after the fruit fades into the finish.
White - Sparkling
N.V. L. Aubry Fils Champagne Premier Cru Brut France, Champagne, Champagne Premier Cru
87 points
Pineapple, herb and earth. The palate is quite sweet, the fruit sits at the fore, with the acid happily sitting in the background. Didn't really stand out to me today.
White - Sparkling
N.V. Pierre Gerbais Champagne L'Originale France, Champagne
89 points
Orange cream, honey and biscuits. Quite richly flavoured and quite full in style. Good length and interest.
White - Sparkling
N.V. Georges Laval Champagne Premier Cru Brut Nature Cumières France, Champagne, Champagne Premier Cru
90 points
90% 09, 10% 10. Lifted nose of spice, peach and lime. Full and with good texture, the richness is restrained by the acid core. Persists really well.
White - Sparkling
N.V. H. Billiot Fils Champagne Grand Cru Tradition Brut France, Champagne, Champagne Grand Cru
flawed
Bad bottle. Odd character.
White - Sparkling
N.V. Françoise Bedel Champagne Entre Ciel et Terre France, Champagne
91 points
Blend of 2004 and 2002. Light oxidative note, cherry, pear and honey. Good texture, with the fruit nicely layered and the oxidative edge giving it some interest. Not an immediately easy wine to drink, but one to spend some time with.
White - Sparkling
2009 Vouette et Sorbée Champagne Fidèle France, Champagne
91 points
Lemon curd, honey, orange, pear and earth. Good flow and depth, the wine is mouthfilling while still having good freshness from the acid line. Evolving slowly.
White - Sparkling
N.V. Pierre Gerbais Champagne Brut Cuvée de Réserve France, Champagne
87 points
Lemon and musk. Plenty of flavour density but it is quite simple. Nice enough to drink.
Rosé - Sparkling
N.V. Lancelot-Pienne Champagne Pétale de Rosé France, Champagne
89 points
2008 base. Spice, floral, earth and good citrus lift - both complex and fresh. Light body, with a clean and lithe nature. Pretty appealing.
White - Sparkling
N.V. Geoffroy Champagne Premier Cru Pureté - Brut Nature France, Champagne, Champagne Premier Cru
89 points
Blend of 2008&2009. Bath salts, apple, lemon and toast. Clean on the palate, it is refreshing after some of the richer Champagnes today. Medium length.
Rosé - Sparkling
N.V. Geoffroy Champagne The Secret France, Champagne
89 points
2009 fruit. Salmon coloured. Fragrant strawberry, earth and cherry. Very good poise and acidity. Clean and light. A little more complexity and depth would be appreciated but I still liked it.
White - Sparkling
N.V. Ulysse Collin Champagne Blanc de Noirs Extra Brut (2011) Les Maillons France, Champagne
92 points
80% 2011, 20% 2010. Toast, flint, lemon and redcurrant. Pure palate, with really good poise and balance. Does have volume to the fruit, with the acidity fine and long. Continues my record of good encounters with this producer.
White - Sparkling
2007 Roses de Jeanne / Cédric Bouchard Champagne Blanc de Noirs Cote de Bechalin France, Champagne
92 points
Floral, strawberry, smoke and orange. Sings on the palate, very good acidity and depth of fruit. Long and really well balanced. Cracking wine.
White - Sparkling
N.V. Camille Savès Champagne Grand Cru Cuvée Prestige France, Champagne, Champagne Grand Cru
91 points
Earth and flint. Good acidity, with some honeyed fruit throughout. Good length and balance.
White - Sparkling
N.V. Camille Savès Champagne Premier Cru Brut Carte Blanche France, Champagne, Champagne Premier Cru
88 points
Herbs, spice, floral and musk. Medium bodied, with the acidity quite prominent. Good but not much depth beyond the surface.
White - Sparkling
N.V. Camille Savès Champagne Grand Cru Blanc de Noir France, Champagne, Champagne Grand Cru
90 points
Lime, floral, red cherry and honey. Good palate presence, with bright fruit and good acidity. Appealing to drink.
White - Sparkling
N.V. Paul Dethune Champagne Grand Cru Brut France, Champagne, Champagne Grand Cru
87 points
Lime, peach and pineapple. Clean acidity, nice freshness. Simple but nice.
White - Sparkling
N.V. Paul Dethune Champagne Grand Cru Blanc de Noirs Brut France, Champagne, Champagne Grand Cru
88 points
Musk, earth and raspberry. Nice body, medium fruit weight with good acidity to balance. Medium length as well.
White - Sparkling
N.V. Benoît Lahaye Champagne Grand Cru Brut Essentiel France, Champagne, Champagne Grand Cru
91 points
Lemon lollies, floral and spice. Good balance and flow. Full fruit flavour is balanced by fine acidity. A wine that would be well served by having with food.
White - Sparkling
2008 Benoît Lahaye Champagne Grand Cru Brut Millésimé France, Champagne, Champagne Grand Cru
90 points
Violets, lemon and lime. Delicate palate, the acidity is precise and the lean fruit is there in the background.

N.V. Bérêche et Fils Champagne Rive Gauche France, Champagne

Toast, orange and floral notes. Medium bodied with some fruit sweetness and good acidity to balance it all out.
White - Sparkling
2005 Bérêche et Fils Champagne Premier Cru Le Cran Ludes France, Champagne, Champagne Premier Cru
91 points
Honey, ginger, spice and toasty earth notes along with oyster shell - good complexity on the nose. Palate has a touch of a nice oxidative note that adds complexity. Good length and balance. Interesting stuff.
White - Sparkling
N.V. Piollot Champagne Cuvée de Reserve Extra Brut France, Champagne
85 points
Mandarin and lemon. The palate is okay but lacks some excitement and depth. Decent drinking only.
White - Sparkling

Herb and citrus. Palate has decent balance but is quite simple. Okay.

White - Sparkling
N.V. Piollot Champagne Champs Rayés Extra Brut France, Champagne

Graphite and mandarin. Acid is the primary palate character which makes it fresh but not all that interesting.
White - Sparkling
N.V. André Beaufort Champagne Polisy Brut Reserve France, Champagne
87 points
April 2015 disgorgement. Pepper and herb with some violets. The palate is tinged by the herbal element as well. Okay.
White - Sparkling
N.V. André Beaufort Champagne Grand Cru Brut Réserve France, Champagne, Champagne Grand Cru
88 points
Pepper, mango and spice. Good roundness and the acidity lifts it up. Good length and drive.
White - Sparkling
2010 André Beaufort Champagne Polisy Brut Reserve France, Champagne
90 points
Chalk, mineral and marshmallow. Good balance and length with some interest and texture. Good character and I'd like to see this with some age.
White - Sparkling
1990 André Beaufort Champagne Brut Millésimé France, Champagne
90 points
Honey and herb, toast and a little oxidative note. Good acidity, the palate is bright and the development of the fruit has rounded it out. Good character and drive.
Red
2006 Geoffroy Pinot Noir Coteaux Champenois Cumières Rouge France, Champagne, Coteaux Champenois
87 points
Blood, cherry and iron. A nice lick of fruit sweetness up front but it is a little hollow through the mid-palate. Medium length.
White - Fortified
N.V. Geoffroy Ratafia de Champagne France, Champagne, Ratafia de Champagne
88 points
Spirit, cherry, raspberry and caramel. The palate does show the spirit but the sweetness covers it well. Medium length.
