Rich and ripe sparkler with creamy texture and fine presence in the mouth. I like this wine for its style - which is certainly following a different style that Champagne - and its easy and attractive nature. This is classy wine making.

Stunning Jerez look-a-like that feels slightly lighter than an Amontillado, but heavier than a Fino in style. Exceptional ripeness, textbook rancio character and a long, involving finish add up to a memorable experience. This is a wine of great enjoyment that evaporated during pre-dinner nibbles.

Excellent Godello, that shows better than average acidity balance, adding more freshness than other Godellos. First-rate wine making and an exceptional food wine.

Fresh and floral on the nose - the product of a cool vintage. The wine has classic cool-climtar, new-world stylings, with bright acidity that makes for a delicious, food friendly experience. For my taste, the floral aromas of the wine are its strong suit, being more complex and involving than the slightly linear palate. The finish is fresh with acidity, but falls off slightly in the mouth. I do not detect the lovely floral aspect of the nose echoing on the palate. On balance, this is outstanding and ageing very well, on its acid and tannin. Vey new world in style, but very well made.

Dense and rich hue. Deep and sweet nose, with an extraordinary ripe blackcurrant core, which verges on cassis. The nose is all about ripeness and chocolate, earthy bottle are complexity. In the month, the wine is in excellent shape (cork came out beautifully) and confirms the ripe and dense nature of the wine. Very complex, but the extremely thick with tannin. After 26 years, these tannins lead a somewhat dusty character to the wine that is attractive, but also adds a weighty aspect that is ever so slightly cumbersome. Clearly photo-cult in style, in terms of massive dry extract and ripeness. This wine still shows balance (if not ultimate transparency). On the plus side, for its style, the wine has transformed into a wine of great character that is not at all indebted to the Bordeaux benchmark. Likely peaked a few years ago, but will continue to age gently for many years to come. Will always be informed by ripeness and thick tannin.
