Lemon, spice and slate. Good flavour profile, medium wight with a little better length than expected. Not super precise, but nice enough.

Honey, orange peel, musk and herb. Palate is medium length and finishes dry after a touch of sugar through the mid-palate.

Lemon drops, wheat and toast. Toasty flavour on the palate, plenty of texture with some viscosity from the fruit. Decent length.

Apricot, spice, lime and plenty of peach. Nice medium bodied flavours, tastes ripe but dry finishing. Not really complex but decent.

Floral, lime, spice and peaches. Good precision, with the fruit in the background but nicely poised and making sure the wine isn't all acid. Good length. Will develop well.

Musk, florals and grapefruit. Strong acid presence, nice and precise, although a little more depth would be better.

Melon, lemon and peaches. Medium intensity on the palate, there is some roundness to it already. I like the balance of acid and fruit. Drinking well now and over the next 4-5 years.

Expressive nose - floral, orange peel, toast and sea spray. The balance on this is excellent, pure fruit and good length. My favourite of the 2005 Canberra flight.

Lime, orange, lemon and slate - pretty classic nose. Very good purity and length, this screams potential but also isn't ready. Good texture and length.

Lemon, spice and grapefruit. Good acid and length, some youthful and fresh fruit flavours. Simple but has potential to improve over the coming years - another 3-4 years might be nice.

Much better than an advanced bottle a few years back. Floral, pine, lime and mineral. Good flavour persistence, there is plenty of spice throughout and a fine line. Starting to head towards its peak and it should reach it within the next 4-5 years.

Kerosene, floral notes and toast. Some phenolic elements on the palate, there is plenty of development here. Not complex but drinking well enough. Drink now.

Salted caramel, fairy floss and some nutty notes. The same caramel note on the palate. Past its best.

Toast, orange peel and smoke. Medium aged feeling, good texture and the acidity is softening out. In a good spot and will develop for another couple of years as well.

Classic young Riesling nose - musk, lime, lemon and white florals. Good flavour intensity, has some depth behind it. Like the poise and potential of this.

Orange, straw, lemon candy and spice. Good acidity, has some texture giving it interest and also some depth. In a really good place to be drunk now to the next 5 years.

Quite shy on the nose - some orange and floral notes. Acidity sticks out a bit on the palate, this bottle seemed to be out of balance. A shame as the bottle I tried in 2012 was very nice.

Sage and basil herb notes, mint and butterscotch. Tangy acidity, with some roundness to the fruit giving it a sweet and sour element. Certainly unusual but interesting if nothing else.

Lime, spice, floral notes and pear - quite open and lifted. Settling down very nicely on the palate, this has good length and balance. Really enjoyed this.

Old and bitter.

Floral, pear, toast and flint. Ticking along beautifully, showing very good balance and persistence. Still travelling well, another 4-5 years should put it in a great spot.

Orange, honey, peach and florals. In much better shape than the last bottle, this has medium intensity with the fruit still asserting its presence. Drink now for sure.

This bottle was past its drinkable window.

Too old.

Smoky, floral, mandarin and cinnamon. Delicate and well balanced, plenty of acidity and a lot of texture. Very good drinking.

Grapefruit and pineapple with some smoke and lemon. Acid pushes through against the ripe but pure fruit - acid seems very good for 2013. Good length and style.

Ginger and orange, mandarin and roses. Good acid balance, the palate richness is just right and the wine tastes quite delicious. Enjoyable stuff.

Smoke, charcoal, rhubarb and meat. Stalky on the palate, there is some light red fruit and the acid still gives it a spine. Hasn't really taken on a great deal of complexity, but I like it all the same.

Stalk, lifted violets, chocolate and some salami. Earthy and savoury palate, with good interest and balance. Doesn't quite feel like it is in harmony, but interesting for a brief encounter.

Tinged by stalks, plum and peppery spice. Lacks the palate intensity and depth to really inspire. Decent but I don't feel the need to revisit.

Ash, char, cherry and blackcurrant. Bold and sweet fruit profile on the palate, there is interesting texture to go along with the punch. Very good.

Corked.

Brett, leather, earth, blood and some briar. Very savoury palate, there is some red fruit too but it is definitely in the background. The structure is holding well, but I feel like this needs to be consumed soon.

Blueberry, spice, cherry and blackcurrant. There is sweet but good tasting fruit power and the length is fine. Drinking well now and over the next couple of years.

Blind, only took a small pour but I liked it. Cherry, violet, pepper and plums. Seems to have good structure and balance, will keep aging well over the short-medium term, say 4-6 years.

Corked.

Dead.

Earth, oak, mint, herb and some VA. Fruit is a bit too broad given the structure of the wine. Punchy but not a wine that I enjoyed much on this encounter.

Meat, cherry, blackcurrant and spice. The palate is quite heavy, there is spice throughout that helps pick it up. Drinking well now.

Stalk, cherry, raspberry and spice. The palate is pretty restrained, there is some savoury spice and while there is a little bit of ripeness peaking through, it is not the driving character. Enjoyable.

Alcohol and kirsch. Strong alcohol on the palate as well. Ok length. Not really my thing, although it was after quite a few other wines so I may have to revisit.

Ginger, caramel, honey and brown sugar. Good persistence and intensity. I like the sweetness next to the spirit. A nice way to finish a very long tasting.
