Nice presentation of this family-owned far. Less than 1ha of vines in the Alto Trasimeno region (Umbria). White and red grapes for white and rosè wines coming from Marche region.
The vineyard is at 610 metres altitude, just at the limit for ripening, anyway with a very low quantity (50q/ha).
Sandstone and calcareous sand are the main soils.

Brilliant light golden yellow.
Intense, complex abd fine at nose: glod plum, pineapple, Herbs: sage, daisy!!
Dry, alcoholic and rounded. Good acidity and minerality.
Intense, persistent and fine.
Wide entry, good body well balanced by a nice acidity.

Nice vivid claret pink.
Intense, medium complex and fine at nose: Blackberry; Rose and almond/ anis hints. [Tar?]
Dry and well rounded. Good acidity and minerality
Intense, medium persistent and fine.
Nice entry, well balanced and prolonged by acidity and minerality. Light sugar residue.
Nice body, but low fruit.

Dark ruby red, with violet rim.
Intense, complex+ and very fine at nose: ripe red fruits, elder and coffee , liquorice. Balsamic hints.
Dry, alcoholic, rounded. Good acidity and minerality. Young dry tannins.
Nice fruity entry, then overpassed by tannins and acidity. Closing on vegetal notes. Young and rather unbalanced.
50% Sangiovese, 20% Cab. Franc; 20% Petit verdot; 10% Montepulciano

Dark ruby red, turning to purple at rim.
At nose very fine. All components becoming more integrated, compared to 2012. Ripe red fruits, balsamic notes and spices.
At taste, tannins become smoothed and the closing is more elegant, with spicy and mineral notes.
Elegant wine.


All the wines resulted very nice and correct. My glod medal going to Cuvè Rossa 2011. Also if 2012 is still too young, I doubt will ever arrive to 2011 pleasentness.

Winemaker Fabrizio Fimiani was a very sharp, sympa and interesting presenter.
