Soft mousse and very fresh. Minerals, a lot of focused citrus, crustacean. Tight and great bubble.

Special bouquet with yeast, smoke and broth, and to be honest; quite pleasant. On the palate minerals a good mousse, apple, citrus and celery. Mature and beautiful bubble.

Concentrated bouquet with caramel, butterscotch, vanilla, ripe yellow fruits and oak. On the palate full bodied and rich with acacia, asparagus, honey, yellow fruits and vanilla. Good acidity and sweetness and some ok vegetal impressions. I am a fan of wines like this.

Dark yellow. In the bouquet floral, but also vegetable soup, broth, celery, anise and salty licorice. On the palate a very special wine with caramel, exotic fruits, litchi, some sweetness, but also something salty. Very special and beautiful. (Tasted and scored fully blind.)

In the bouquet red forest fruits, cedar and graphite. On the palate red berries, vanilla, chocolate and coffee. Beautiful, almost classical acidity and tannin with a pleasant and soft bite. Beautiful wine with still a future of a few years.

Beautiful bouquet with some floral impressions. On the palate earthy and mushroom flavors, dark berries like cassis, firm acidity, medicine box, some chocolate but also classical with slightly drying tannin. Good freshness! Still a beautiful wine with some future.

In the bouquet dark forest fruits, cassis, smoke, cedar, cigar box etc. Quite classical and luxurious. On the palate the same( luxurious) elements. Beautiful smoke and earthy impressions, tannin with still a good bite in combination with good freshness. It is probably my old world palate, but best red so far in this tasting.

What a feast and what great fun! This wine was poured blind in a 1995 USA tasting and it stood out! One taster shouted out loud this was a textbook Napa wine with still 20 years ahead. Others were less explicit, but scored the wine in their top 2 or 3. I must say that I was (again) pleasantly surprised for this off vintage. This wine is still at its peak and not tired yet. Really beautiful :-)! 95 - 96 (96 because the wine is at its pleasantly soft peak now.)

In the bouquet dark forest fruits and some earthy flavors. Also cinnamon and some sweetness. On the palate autumn forest, good acidity and soft tannin. Mature and beautiful, but is the wine a 100% fresh? Not sure….. but even with that in mind, I dare to score the wine 93.

In the bouquet dark forest fruits, rustic and barnyard flavors, some medicine as well. Beautiful and complex nose! On the palate the same. Quite mature with celery, soy, medicine, coffee, chocolate, but still good acidity. Although the wine is quite mature, the tannin still has some bite. The opinions differ between the different tasters. Personally I enjoy the complexity of this mature wine, but if you still have several bottles; open one to see what you think for yourself!

In the bouquet rustic flavors, lead pencil, dark forest fruits and pleasant barnyard. On the palate also rustic impressions, some sweetness and sweet herbs, but also classical, almost Italian like acidity. Not extremely concentrated and a fairly short finish, but the wine has something intriguing and classical. Beautiful wine with a good future.

Beautiful, mature, refined and complex bouquet with delicious sweet spices. On the palate the same impressions with a beautiful balance between acidity and sweetness. Beautifully round with lovely dark and red berries and good herbs and spices. One of the most harmonious wines of the evening. Ready now and the next few years.

In the bouquet red and dark forest fruits and a touch of sweetness. On the palate sweetness, herbs, good acidity and some chocolate. Good acidity. Ripe and rich and ready. A really beautiful wine at its peak. Not overwhelming, but with a score of 93 you won´t hear me complain.

In the bouquet red berries, sweet spices and pleasant acidity. On the palate red fruit acidity, sweet spices, vanilla, mild tannin, round tannin. Very harmonious, round and supple and completely ready now.

Beautiful bouquet with dark and red berries as well as dome smoke. On the palate dark berries and kirsch. The alcohol shows a bit, but overall the wine is beautiful with good acidity and mild tannin. Not an extreme length.

Unfortunately this wine is not as it should be. Slightly corked.

The bouquet of this wine is extremely mature with lavas and celery. On the palate the same. This wine has probably been stored much too warm for many years. What a great pity!

Dark forest fruits and yoghurt in the bouquet. On the palate a mouth full of good wine, but in this stage much too young. This will probably be a great pleasure around 2024 an then to 2030. 90+++
